Junior Assistant Technical Manager (m/f/d)
FRAMED immersive projects GmbH & Co. KG is a Berlin-based studio specializing in innovative sound design, immersive audio technology, and interactive media art. Under the usomo brand, we are developing and installing a headphone-based 3D audio system that dynamically renders sound in real time and reacts precisely to the movements of users in the room.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a technical assistant with a passion for sound installations and new technologies as soon as possible. You will get involved in the technical implementation of location-based audio installations for museums and sound projects. You will support the planning, implementation and supervision of projects and develop further in an innovative technical environment.
Your tasks:
- Support in the technical planning and implementation of tracking-based interactive audio installations with our specially developed tracking system
- Learning the tools, e.g. software, distance meter to guarantee the accuracy of tracking
- Participation in fault diagnosis and problem solving in the field of tracking and technology
- Preparation of hardware for use – this includes quality inspection, recording of technical requirements, maintenance of material lists and preparation for shipment
- Collaboration with sound designers and programmers to realize installations
- Frequent trips within Europe for installations, test setups and maintenance appointments of media art projects
- Monitoring of inventory, documentation and organization of reorders
What you bring to the table:
- Completed technical training or studies (e.g. electrical engineering, IT, event technology or similar) or a comparable qualification
- Initial practical experience in the technical field (e.g. through internships, part-time jobs or projects)
- Team spirit, hands-on mentality and craftsmanship
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with, operate and further develop new technologies as well as our tracking and hardware tools
- Passion for sound, technology and interactive environments
- Willingness to travel within Europe
- English language skills at C1 level or comparable (working language is English – also in contact with international customers)
Desirable:
- Interest in tracking, IoT or audio technology
- Basic knowledge of network technology (WLAN, IP configuration)
- Initial support experience in technical customer support
- Familiarity with media art and installation works
- Affinity for the museum or cultural sector
