IMMERSIVE AUDIOPLAY “TORN ISLAND” IN THE BUNKER ON TEXEL

On the North Sea island of Texel in the Netherlands, usomo is part of a small but innovative exhibition by Kossmann de Jong from Amsterdam. The sound-based exhibition in this rather unexpected place makes use of our immersive and interactive 3D audio system usomo.

Situated inside a World War II bunker hidden in the dunes, the exhibition “Torn Island” tells a dramatic story from the last days of the war that took place on Texel. Visitors are immersed into the minds and dialogues of the soldiers, experiencing closely their thoughts and emotions while wandering through the red-lit space like through a three-dimensional audioplay.

“Torn Island” is a permanent exhibition.
The bunker is part of the Aviation & War Museum Texel.
